This may be the most important E+R=O note I’ve ever written.

Brian Kight - May 17, 2018 5:30:00 AM

Can you turn bad feelings into doing good things? You can, the moment you decide to do exactly that. E+R=O (Event + Response = Outcome) revolves around how you manage emotions and actions.

Feeling pain can move you to start making improvements you’ve ignored.
Feeling anger can move you do something nice for another person.
Feeling fear can move you do the uncomfortable but necessary.
Feeling guilt can move you to apologize for hurting someone.
Feeling shame can move you to act consistent with the character you want.

Think today about what you want to do the next time you feel a bad feeling. Prepare yourself, pre-make the decision now, and be ready to do something good when you feel something bad.

Do the work.
