Rule of thumb: If you present a problem, propose a solution.

Rules of thumb are helpful, not because they always work, but because they help you make fast, reliable decisions that usually work. They’re not perfect, they’re just productive.

Here’s a rule of thumb for life and work: If you present a problem propose a solution.

It keeps you honest in two ways. If you want to talk about real problems, then you also have to talk about real solutions. If you won’t work on solutions, then don’t focus on the problems. That’s a rule of thumb anyone can rely on.

Do The Work.
