Paying the price for having an opinion

Brian Kight - 7/30/18 5:30 AM

On Friday I wrote, “Exposure tells the truth.” Let’s expand on that today.

Everyone has opinions. You have views how how you think certain things “should” be done. But it’s not your opinions that count. Only opinions backed by action and exposure to the real world have a claim to credibility. Having an opinion doesn’t mean you have an opinion worth hearing.

People who live by actions and consequences (exposure) will always be superior to people who live by opinions and explanations (lack of exposure). Opinions backed by actions are worthy, even in failure. These people step into the arena and pay a price for their views. They are exposed to the truth, good or bad, about their opinions in action. But people with opinions not backed by actions are simply hiding behind words. They don’t face the necessary exposure to be taken seriously.

Do the work.
